Mila Dunphy woke up and sleepily opened her eyes. She glanced at the clock. "Oh no." she exclaimed hurriedly trying to get out of bed. It was 8:00 in the morning, and she had to go to school at 8:30. She tried to get out of bed, but she found herself all tangled up in her sheets and fluffy blanket. She tried to unravel herself but end up toppling onto the floor where she was finally able to untangle herself.
Mila looked over at the chair in front of her pink wooden desk where she would normally find her clothes for the day neatly laid out, but there was nothing there. She quickly lay down on the floor beside her desk and looked under the it to make sure that her clothes hadn't fallen underneath, but there was nothing there either. She went into her closet and pulled out a pair of jeans and put them on. They were too tight. Mila could barely breath. She took them off and pulled on another pair. That pair immediately fell down. Mila didn't really have time to look for a belt so she took that pair off too. She took out a third pair and thankfully that pair fit perfectly.
Next, Mila went over to her dresser and took out a blue flowered shirt. No sooner had she put it on when she happened to glance in the mirror. She saw there was a giant chocolate stain across the middle of the shirt. She took it off and put on purple and white striped shirt instead.
Mila went to her dresser drawer and starting looking for a pair of socks. She started throwing socks down on the floor until she finally found a pair that went together. It was a bright blue pair. She decided to wear one purple sock and one white sock instead. Nobody was going to see her socks under her pants anyway.
Mila put on her favorite black shoes but then she couldn't remember if it was a gym day or not. Just to be on the safe side, she decided she better wear her sneakers. She looked in her closet on her wire shoe rack for her pink and gray sneakers but she couldn't find them. She got down on her hands and knees and looked all over her closet but still couldn't find them. She left the closet and quickly began looking all over her room. She finally found one sneaker under the bed and the other one behind her door. She quickly put on her shoes and tied the laces.
Mila rushed into the bathroom and put toothpaste on her toothbrush. It came out of the tube quickly, too quickly, and she ended up having to clean a gooey blue mess of toothpaste off the bathroom counter. Some of the toothpaste got on her shirt so she hurried back into her room and took it off and put on a yellow shirt instead. She went back into the bathroom and brushed her teeth. When she was spitting the toothpaste out she spilled some of the water on her shirt, and she had to go back into her room and change her shirt yet again. This time she put on a shirt with a big pink heart on it.
Mila went back into the bathroom and brushed her hair and put it up in a ponytail. When she looked in the mirror, it looked really messy so she took it out and started over again. When she finally got her ponytail right, she put in a couple of gold clips to keep her bangs out of her eyes. One of them immediately slid out, and she had to put it in again.
When Mila was finally satisfied with her hair, she went back into her room. She looked for her backpack. She was supposed to leave it by the front door on school nights, but she usually didn't. She went downstairs and found her backpack on the living room couch. She put it by the front door and took her jean jacket out of the hall closet and put it there too.
Mila went into the kitchen to grab something to eat before she had to leave. She wondered why it was so quiet as she quickly swallowed down a peanut butter granola bar and gulped down a cup of milk. She guessed she wasn't the only one running late this morning.
Mila wondered where her mother was and was just about to go upstairs and look for her when her mother appeared in the kitchen doorway. She was surprised to see that her mother was not dressed for the day but wore a yellow robe and a pair of pink fluffy slippers. "Good morning." Mila greeted her mother cheerfully.
"Good morning." replied her mother. She looked at Mila with a puzzled look. "What are you doing up?" she asked Mila in confusion.
"What do you mean what am I doing up?" asked Mila. She glanced quickly up at the clock on the microwave. It was 8:25. "It's late already. I have to leave for school in five minutes."
Mila's mother shook her head."No you don't.'" she replied.
Now, it was Mila's turn to be confused. "What!?" she exclaimed.
"It's Saturday." explained her mother.
"Oh." replied Mila. She sighed wearily. Then, she hurried back upstairs to go back to bed.

Shira Doesn't Share
Shira Bohannon did not like to share. When she was little, it was kind of cute and funny the way she was always grabbing her toys away from other kids and running off. When she was older it was not so cute anymore. Of course, she no longer took her toys and ran off with them. However, she still had ways of keeping her toys to herself.
"This Barbie is brand-new." she told her best friend Honi Ellis when they were having a playdate. She carefully took the doll out of her friend's hand.
"My art supplies are almost used up." she told her cousin another time when the poor girl had the nerve to want to color with Shira's crayons.
Of course, her reluctance to share did not help Shira's social life. She went from having a lot of friends to having a few friends to having one really great best friend Honi. Honi was a true and loyal best friend, of course, it helped that they spent most of their time either playing outside or at Honi's house. Honi was a good friend to Shira, and Shira was not nearly as grateful as she should have been to have a friend like her. She just assumed Honi would always be there. Until, one day, she wasn't.
Shira was outside sitting on the front porch looking at a comic book when out of the corner of her eye, she thought she saw a pink and green bicycle go by. 'That's funny' she thought. 'Honi has a pink and green bicycle, but she told me she has to run errands with her mother today so it can't be her.' When she look up and saw the purple ribbon tied to the back of the bicycle seat, she knew it was Honi's bike. There couldn't be two pink and green bicycles with purple ribbons tied to the back of the seat. There just couldn't! She ran down near the street and ran along the sidewalk chasing after the bike calling "Hey, Honi!"
The bicycle abruptly pulled over to the side of the road and stopped. Honi got off and took off her helmet and looked around. She turned bright red when she saw Shira. She quickly looked away from Shira and looked down at the ground. "Oh, hi Shira." she said while still staring at the ground.
"Don't you 'Oh hi, Shira, me!" exclaimed Shira angrily. "I thought you told me you had errands to run with your Mom today."
"We got done early." replied Honi, but she still wasn't really looking Shira in the face. Shira could tell she wasn't telling the truth. She frowned at Honi as Honi glanced up at her for a minute. Honi sighed. "I'm going to Maeve Crowley's house." she admitted finally. Then, she quickly looked away again. Maeve Crowley was a new girl in their class.
"Maeve Crowley?" repeated Shira full of hurt and confusion about why Honi didn't want to play with her. After all, wasn't Honi her best friend. What did Maeve Crowley have that she didn't have?
"She has a Barbie Dream House." replied Honi quickly as if in answer to Shira's unasked question.
Now, Shira was thoroughly confused and even more hurt. "I have a Barbie Dream House." she said in case Honi had forgotten.
"She lets other people play with her Barbie Dream House." explained Honi. "
"Is she going to be your best friend now?"
"No. I mean I don't know. I mean I gotta go now she's expecting me." replied Honi quickly putting back on her helmet, hopping back on her bike, and speeding off down the street leaving Shira starring after her.
Even after that, Shira still didn't want to share her toys. Honi started spending more and more time playing with Maeve. When Shira asked her about it, she made up excuses until finally one day when Shira cornered her at school, she said. "Look Shira. I like you. I really do. You have always been my best friend, but it's not so fun to watch somebody else play with their toys all the time, and it is not so fun to share toys with somebody who doesn't want to share their toys too."
That day after school, Shira came in the house, threw her bookbag down on the floor and raced up the stairs. "Shira!" called her mother angrily. "Do we just walk in the door and throw our things on the floor?" "Shira!" she repeated when Shira didn't reply. When Shira still didn't reply, Mommy came upstairs after her. "Shira," she said she was about to yell at Shira when she noticed Shira was lying on her bed crying. "What's wrong, baby?" she asked sitting down on the bed beside Shira. At first, Shira just looked at her mother sadly and continued crying but eventually the whole story came pouring out.
After Shira finished talking, her mother nodded thoughtfully. "It seems to me, you have a decision to make." she replied.
"I do?" asked Shira through her tears.
Her mother nodded. "Yes." she replied. "You have to decide whether it is more important to keep your toys to yourself or have friends to play with."
Shira bit her lip. She really loved her toys, and she really didn't like to share, but it was no fun playing alone every day.
Just then, she heard laughter outside. She jumped up and went over to the window. She saw Honi and Maeve running down the sidewalk. She quickly ran down the stairs and ran outside to catch them before they disappeared down the street. "Honi! Maeve!" she called waving to them. Honi and Maeve stopped and turned around to face her waiting for her to say something.
"Do you want to play Disney Princess dolls with me?" asked Shira eagerly hoping they would say yes. She had the whole set of Disney Princess dolls, and she knew that Honi loved them.
Maeve nodded excitedly and started to reply, but Honi shook her head. "Do you mean do we want to watch you play with your Disney Princesses?" said Honi frowning. "I don't think so." She started to turn away and head back down the street, beckoning for Maeve to come with her but Shira stopped them by touching Honi's arm.
"Please!" said Shira. "I really want to play with you. I'll let you be Belle." she said to Honi. "And Maeve can be Cinderella."
Belle was Honi's favorite Princess, but she knew that it was Shira's favorite Princess too and Cinderella was her second favorite. She knew that Shira must be serious and really want to play and share with them. "Okay." she said happily. Honi and Maeve quickly called on their cell phones and told their moms where they would be, and then followed Shira into her house.
"This Barbie is brand-new." she told her best friend Honi Ellis when they were having a playdate. She carefully took the doll out of her friend's hand.

Teaching Seraphina to Share
"Mommy!" complained Scarlet De Gregorio. "Seraphina is always taking whatever I want to play with!"
"You have to share with your little sister." explained Mommy calmly.
"I know how to share!" exclaimed Scarlet indignantly. "It's Seraphina who doesn't know how to share."
"Then, we'll have to teach her." said Mommy patiently. Mommy took the gold chain off of her neck and handed it to Scarlet. "See Sera," she explained "Mommy is sharing with Scarlet." Mommy pointed to Scarlet's purple headband. Scarlet took it off and handed it Mommy. "Now, Scarlet is sharing with Mommy."
Seraphina nodded. "Share." she repeated.
A little while later, Scarlet was sitting at the kitchen table with a plate of cookies and a glass of milk in front of her. Seraphina went over and grabbed one. "Hey!" exclaimed Scarlet angrily jumping out of her seat.
"Seraphina," said Mommy frowning and shaking her head. "We don't grab."
"Sorry." said Seraphina, but she didn't give the cookie back.
Scarlet reached for it. "Hey!" she said "That's my cookie!"
"Share." said Seraphina. She looked at Mommy. Mommy looked at Scarlet and nodded her head.
Scarlet scowled. She gulped down the rest of her cookies before Seraphina could take any more. She quickly swallowed her milk. Then, she left the kitchen in a huff mumbling about how much sharing stinks.
Seraphina finished her cookie and followed Mommy upstairs. Mommy sat at her dressing table touching up her make up. Seraphine sat down beside her. "Share." she said pointing to Mommy's make up.
"Oh, sweetie!" said Mommy. "I think you're a little too young for makeup."
"Share." repeated Seraphina puckering up her lips as though she were going to cry.
Mommy's heart instantly melted. "Okay." she said. She put a tiny bit of lip gloss on Seraphina's lips.
Seraphina proudly admired her shiny lips in the dressing table mirror. "Pretty!" she said. Mommy couldn't help smiling too at her adorable daughter.
Seraphina went off to find Daddy and show him her pretty lips. She found him lying across the family room couch taking a nap. Seraphina poked him with her finger. "Daddy, share!" she ordered him.
"What?" exclaimed Daddy waking up abruptly and blinking the sleep out of his eyes.
"Daddy, share!" repeated Seraphina pointing to the couch. Daddy sat up and Seraphina crawled up on the couch beside him. They watch TV for a little bit until Mom called from the other room. She needed Daddy to go to the store and pick up some things they needed for dinner.
"Do you want to go with me?" he asked Seraphina. She nodded eagerly. After Daddy told Mommy he was taking Seraphina, they headed out the door.
At the store, Daddy remembered he needed to get an anniversary card for Mommy. While he was looking for a card, Seraphina found some colorful stickers. "Pretty!" she said grabbing a handful of packages of stickers and showing them to Daddy.
"Would you like some stickers?" he asked.
Seraphina bobbed her head up and down excitedly.
"You can pick out one package of stickers." Daddy told her.
Seraphina quickly picked out a package of Hello Kitty stickers and threw the other packs on the floor.
"Seraphina!" said Daddy shaking his head. "We don't throw things on the floor." He bent down to pick up the rest of the stickers. Seraphina helped him. They finished shopping and went to check out.
When they got home, Scarlet was in the kitchen helping Mommy. "What's that?" she asked curiously spying the package of stickers clutched tightly in Seraphina's hand.
"Hitty Kitty (Hitty Kitty was what Seraphina called Hello Kitty)." said Seraphina proudly showing off her stickers to her sister.
"Hey!" said Scarlet turning green with jealousy that she didn't have any Hello Kitty stickers and Seraphina did.
"Sera, is going to share them with you. Aren't you, Sera?" said Daddy.
Seraphina held the pack of stickers even tighter and clutched it to her chest. "Mine!" she said possessively.
"Seraphina, " said Mommy disappointedly. "What have we been learning about sharing? Don't you want to share your stickers with your sister."
Seraphina quickly shook her head no. "Mine." she said holding tightly to her stickers and running out of the room.
"I guess we still have more work to do." said Mommy.
"You have to share with your little sister." explained Mommy calmly.
"I know how to share!" exclaimed Scarlet indignantly. "It's Seraphina who doesn't know how to share."

Spaghetti again?!
Charlotte Putnam's mom was not the worst cook in the world. She was not the best cook in the world either. Her family never really appreciated her cooking. They just ate it and didn't really think about it. it. Then, one day she made spaghetti, and it was so incredibly delicious that they just had to say something.
"Mmm! These noodles are so soft!" exclaimed Charlotte. "Can I have some more?" Mommy smiled brightly and happily scooped out another plateful for her.
"And this sauce is so tomatoey." added her sister, Renee. "I want more too!" Mommy smiled even brighter and scooped out another plateful for Renee as well.
"I have never tasted meatballs so light and fluffy." added their Dad. "I'll take some more as well."
This time, Mommy frowned. "You all like it that much? I don't believe it. You are all just trying to be nice to me." she said unhappily.
"No, it's really delicious, honey." said Dad sincerely. "You really outdid yourself today."
"We love it too!" added Charlotte and Renee together.
"Really?" asked Mommy still unsure. They all nodded. Mommy smiled happily and scooped out another plateful for Daddy.
The next day, they had spaghetti again. "Yeah!" exclaimed Charlotte and Renee happily. They all sat down eagerly and couldn't wait to dig in to their food.
When they had spaghetti again for the third day, the girls were getting kind of sick of it. Daddy was too. "Oh, spaghetti again." said Charlotte, but she didn't sound that excited about it.
"Thank you, honey." said Daddy, but he didn't sound all that happy either.
By the fourth day, they couldn't even pretend to be excited about it any more. Charlotte just stared at her plate miserably. Renee practically started to cry, but Daddy gave her a warning look so she bit her lip really hard to stop herself. Daddy smiled at Mommy but even he couldn't say anything nice about the spaghetti anymore.
After a week of nothing but spaghetti, Renee couldn't take it anymore. As soon as they sat down for dinner that night, and she saw another plate of spaghetti in front of her, she started to cry.
"What's the matter?" asked Mommy with a voice full of concern.
"We hate spaghetti!" exclaimed Charlotte. Renee nodded in agreement through her tears.
Mommy looked confused. "I thought you loved my spaghetti."
"Well, we have had it an awful lot lately." said Daddy gently trying not to upset Mommy.
"You don't want anymore spaghetti?" asked Mommy disappointedly.
"No!" exclaimed Charlotte and Renee together.
"Okay." said Mommy quietly.
"Of course, we'll eat spaghetti tonight because you already made it." said Daddy. He gave the two girls a stern look. They were not happy about it but they ate it, but nobody had seconds.
The next day, Mommy served pot roast. It was delicious. "This meat is so tender." said Daddy. He helped himself to some more.
"These potatos are so soft." said Charlotte. "Can I have some more too?" Mommy happily refilled her plate.
"Yum! Yum!" added Renee holding out her plate to be refilled too. Mommy smiled. She loved it when her family appreciated her cooking.
The next day it was pot roast again and the day after and the day after that.... Until finally Charlotte and Renee couldn't stand it anymore and even though Daddy tried to stop them they called out at the dinner table "No more pot roast! We hate pot roast! We are sick of pot roast!"
The next day, they had tacos. They were good but nobody said anything about it. The day after that it was baked chicken. It was good too, but nobody said anything about that either. Life went on and they ate different things for dinner. It was usually good, but nobody said anything about it.
Then, one day, Charlotte's friend Rita came to dinner. They had stuffed shells, and they all ate heartily. "Thank you for having me to dinner, Mrs. Putnam. These stuffed shells are delicious."
Charlotte quickly covered her friend's mouth. "No!" exclaimed Charlotte and Renee together. However, it was too late. Mommy had already heard. The next day they had stuffed shells again.

Don't Feed the Dog
Afton Perry sat at the dinner table staring at a plate of food. She hated meat and she hated vegetables. She only wanted to get to the good stuff- dessert. She looked at the cookie jar sitting on the counter across the room, and her mouth watered just thinking about those creamy Oreo cookies.
"Hurry up!, Afton!" shouted her older sister Astrid impatiently. She had finished her own food ten minutes ago and was waiting for Afton to finish so they could have dessert.
Mom shot Astrid a red angry look. It said if Astrid didn't be quiet she wouldn't be getting dessert at all. So Astrid instantly shut up.
Doodle, their white Scottish Terrier, lay under Afton's chair. He was impatient too. He was waiting for Afton to drop some food under her chair. She always did. Under Afton's chair was the best place in the kitchen to find food besides the refrigerator.
After about ten more minutes, Mommy let Astrid leave the table. "I'll call you when we are ready for dessert." Mommy told her.
Astrid left the room glaring at Afton as she went. Afton sighed. Astrid went in the other room and loudly. turned on the TV. It was Doc McStuffins, one of Afton's favorite shows. Afton sighed again and sadly starred at her food but still didn't eat it.
After about another ten minutes, Mommy let Astrid come in and eat her dessert. Astrid crunched her cookies and slurped her milk loudly. She look at Afton with a satisfied look on her face the whole time. It said 'Ha Ha I'm eating cookies and your not.'
"That's enough, Astrid." said Mom angrily when she noticed the way Astrid was looking at Afton.
Astrid was finished anyway. "Can I be excused?" she asked. Mom nodded. Astrid threw her garbage away and went back to watching TV. Afton sighed yet again.
Mommy frowned at Afton. "Finish up." she told Afton angrily. Mommy had things to do, and Afton was wasting her time.
Suddenly, Mommy's cell phone started ringing. It had been charging upstairs. Mommy went up to answer it. The minutes she left the room, Afton put her plate on the floor. Doodle hungrily ate all of her food. Afton scooped up her plate and put it back on the table. "You were right, Mommy." she said just as her mother came back in the room. "It wasn't so bad when I tried it."
Mommy looked at Afton's empty plate. She looked confused about why Afton had suddenly given in and decided to eat, but she just nodded her head. "You can have dessert now." Mommy told her.
Afton happily counted out four cookies from the cookie jar and sat down at the table to eat them. Mommy poured her a glass of milk.
The next day, every time everybody looked away, Afton fed a little bit of her food to Doodle. She started doing that every day. "I'm proud of you Afton." said Mommy. "You are eating so much better." Afton was proud of herself too, but for a different reason.
However, even though Afton was eating enough to stay alive, she wasn't eating enough to stay full. Every night her tummy rumbled after dinner, and she complained that she was still hungry. "I don't understand why your always hungry when you're eating better." said Mommy shaking her head. No matter how hungry Afton was, Mommy wouldn't let her eat anymore after dinner. The house was rule was no food after dinner and dessert and Mommy took that rule very seriously.
Finally, one day Astrid looked up when Afton was feeding her dinner to the dog. "Look at what, Afton's doing, Mommy!" she shouted standing up and pointing a finger at her sister.
Mommy looked up at Afton and frowned. "Have you been feeding your dinners to Doodle?" Afton shook her head no. Mommy frowned deeply at Afton. Lying was even worse than asking for food after dinner. Afton nodded slowly and looked at the floor. "Afton, " said Mommy with a voice full of disappointment. "We do not feed our dinner to the dog. Do you understand?" Afton frowned and nodded slowly. "I'm disappointed in you, Afton." said Mommy quietly. "From now on, you are going to have to be watched when you eat until I'm sure that I can trust you. Do you understand?" Afton nodded again even more slowly and very unhappily.
From that day on Afton actually had to start eating her own food if she wanted to get dessert and sometimes just sometimes it wasn't as bad as she thought.

The Dog Who Went to School
The sun was shining way too brightly that morning as Kinsi Lennox was awaked by her big yellow dog, Nugget bouncing on to her bed. She pushed him away and looked at the clock. Unfortunately, it was a school day so she had to get up and get out of bed. She went into the bathroom to brush her teeth. Nugget followed her wanting attention. "Go away, Nugget!" she said sternly. "I don't have time to play with you now."
When she came out of the bathroom, Nugget was chewing on one of her socks. "Nugget!" she exclaimed grabbing the sock out of his mouth. It was too late. The sock already had a hole in it. She angrily threw the sock back to the dog and reached in her drawer for another one. She barely had time to finish getting dressed and brush her hair before she heard her mother calling from downstairs.
"Kinsi! You're going to be late."
"Coming Mommmy!" Kinsi answered back. She glared at Nugget. "It's all your fault." she said. Nugget wagged his tail at her and followed her down the steps.
Kinsi went into the kitchen. After a quick kiss for her Mom, she gulped down half a bagel and a glass of orange juice. Then, she grabbed her bookbag from beside the front door. She opened the door to go out to the bus stop, but before she could step outside Nugget flew past her and out the door.
"Nugget!" screamed Mommy and Kinsi as they started chasing Nugget down the driveway. Nugget was too quick, and they couldn't reach him.
"You go. You'll miss your bus. " Mommy instructed Kinsi. Kinsi nodded and unhappily dragged herself off to the bus stop. She really didn't want to leave while Nugget was still out there some place, but she had no choice.
As Kinsi stood at the bus stop, Nugget ran by. He came over to Kinsi. "Nugget!" she whispered loudly into his ear "Go home!" The other kids started making a lot of noise and pointing at Nugget. He ran off and not in the direction of home. Kinsi sighed.
Just then, the school bus arrived. Kinsi got on the bus and hurried into her seat. She sat there with her face in her hands worrying about her dog.
"Look!" called out another kid on the bus. "That dog is following the bus!"
Kinsi worriedly looked up and out the bus window. 'Nugget!' she begged silently. 'Please go home.'
The other kids were laughing and talking and pointing out the window until the bus driver finally had to stop the bus to get them to sit down. Kinsi sat quietly in her seat shaking her head.
When the bus arrived at school, the kids hurried off it and into the red brick building. Kinsi looked around as she exited the bus. She was thankful when she didn't see Nugget and hoped that he had gone home.
She walked down the school hallway and was about to enter her classroom when she heard a voice behind her called out "Look!"
Kinsi froze and then, slowly turned around. She suddenly felt a big pink tongue licking her face. "Nugget!" she said angrily shaking her finger at him. "Your gonna get me in trouble."
Just than Mr. Philpot the Vice Principal walked by. He was really strict and mean and none of the kids liked him "What do we have here?" he asked Kinsi angrily glaring at the dog through his spectacles. "Whose dog is this and what is he doing in school?" he asked angrily.
"Well I...." stammered Kinsi nervously.
"He followed us to school just like Mary's lamb." called out another kid who was on Kinsi's bus and just happened to be standing in the hallway at that moment.
"Is that right?" asked Mr. Philpot. Kinsi nodded. Mr. Philpot grabbed Nugget by the scruff of the neck and was about to usher him out of the school.
"Wait, please!" exclaimed Kinsi. "That's my dog."
"So it is your dog." replied Mr. Philpot.
"Yes." admitted Kinsi. "But he really did just follow me to school. I didn't mean for him too."
Mr. Philpot had his usual mean look on his face, and it was hard to tell if he was angry or not. "Nevertheless, he can't stay here." Kinsi nodded in agreement but she didn't know what to do. Mr. Philpot took Kinsi and Nugget off to the Principal's office. Kinsi bit her lip really hard to keep from crying. She had never been in trouble before.
The Principal Mrs. Cleary was as nice as Mr. Philpot was mean. All the kids loved her. She was as surprised as Mr. Philpot to see a dog in the school but didn't say anything until she heard the whole story. Then, she looked at Kinsi who was nervously chewing on her finger and holding onto Nugget's collar with her other hand while swallowing hard and trying not to cry. "Don't worry, honey." Mrs. Cleary said softly. "Your not in trouble. It wasn't your fault. We'll just call your mother and have her come and get your dog, and you can go back to class."
"Can I please wait for my Mom?" asked Kinsi. She didn't want to let Nugget out of her sight until she was sure her Mom had him. Mrs. Cleary agreed.
A few minutes latter, Mommy arrived at school. "Mommy!" exclaimed Kinsi in relief. Mommy hugged Kinsi with one arm and grabbed Nugget with the other. "Come on Nugget." said Mommy. "No more school for you."
When she came out of the bathroom, Nugget was chewing on one of her socks. "Nugget!" she exclaimed grabbing the sock out of his mouth. It was too late. The sock already had a hole in it. She angrily threw the sock back to the dog and reached in her drawer for another one. Cutie Pie Callie
Today's Story is not only for my daughter but by my daughter
Cutie Pie Callie
Callie
was a three year old little girl. Everybody thought she was so cute
and hilarious. Her sister, Pippi, always wanted to be with her to
hear the funny things she said. For example, one night her Dad was
lying down with her when she was trying to sleep. He said to her,
“Close those little eyes.”
“Close
those big eyes.” answered Callie.
One
day, Callie asked if they could go to the park. “We can bring
Princess Marie to get exercise.” Princess Marie was their dog.
“Okay.”
said Mom.
“Yeah!”
said Callie and Pippi.
“When
we go to the park, can you push me on the swing?” asked Callie.
“Sure
I will.” said Pippi.
When
they got to the park, Callie ran straight to the swings. Pippi came
over and lifted Callie into the swing. As she pushed Callie in the
swing, she tried to teach her little sister about opposites.'
“Everything has an opposite.” said Pippi. “In is the opposite
of out. Up is the opposite of down.”
“What
is the opposite of tree?” asked Callie.
“Never
mind, Callie. Let's just go on the slide.”
They
went over to the slide. “Fun!” said Callie. “We should get our
own playground.”
“Where
would we put it? Our backyard is not big enough.” said Pippi.
“In
our park, of course.”
“What
park? We don't have a park.”
Callie
didn't answer. She was already thinking of other things. “Let's
play Tag.” she said excitedly.
“Okay.”
said her sister.
They
ran over by the trees to play. “You know,” announced Callie. “I
wasn't born I fell out of a tree.”
Pippi
just shook her head.
Then,
they played for a while. It started getting dark. “Shall we go
home?” asked Mom.
“My
name is not shall we.” replied Callie.
They
went home ate dinner and Callie went to bed.
